Frequently asked questions
How does the two-currency system work?
Domainless uses real US dollars only. Earlier "Coins" mechanics have been retired in favor of /wallet (Stripe-backed escrow). USD and used for customization (themes, badges) and for sending tips. USD earnings balance is real money you earn as a creator from tips received and royalties — it's the balance you cash out.
How do I cash out my USD earnings?
Activate as a creator (one tap), then connect your Stripe account. Once your USD balance hits $10, you can withdraw to your bank. Transfers land in 2-3 business days. A 10% platform fee is deducted at cashout, plus Stripe's ~2-3% processing fee.
What's the split on tips and royalties?
Royalties: $0.50 per 1,000 views/plays, paid weekly directly into your USD balance. Tips: fans tip you in USD via /wallet, escrow holds for 7 days, then the funds release to your connected bank. No platform cut at the tip moment — only Stripe fees apply, the 10% fee only applies when you withdraw.
Do I need to be reviewed or accepted?
No. One tap to activate, you're a creator. No application, no wait list, no minimum followers, no quality bar. Just click Activate.
What about the App Store?
Domainless is a web app. You install it from your browser via "Add to Home Screen". No App Store fees because we don't use the App Store — that means no 30% cut on anything.
Can I post videos, music, and text?
Yes. Videos are hosted on stream.domainless.fun, music on music.domainless.fun, and everything shows up in the domainless.fun social feed. One account, three platforms.
Can I include sponsorships in my videos?
Yes, with two rules: one sponsor per video, maximum 10 seconds. Branded content, paid promotions, or product placements are allowed but must not exceed 10 seconds of total screen time per video, and only one sponsor per piece of content. This keeps creator content watchable and prevents the platform from turning into an ad platform. Violations may result in post removal and creator status revocation.
What happens if the platform grows?
Royalty rates, tip splits, and the no-algorithm promise are written into the platform's core. As we grow, creators benefit first — not shareholders, not the App Store, not ad networks.
