Use your address in any mail app

Your you@domainless.fun address works in the mail app you already use — on your phone, tablet or computer — not only in the browser. These are the only settings you need.

The settings

Incoming (IMAP)Outgoing (SMTP)
Serveremail.domainless.funemail.domainless.fun
Port993465
SecuritySSL/TLSSSL/TLS
UsernameYour full address, for example alex@domainless.fun
PasswordYour mailbox password (see below)
Sign-in methodNormal password

Which password? Your mailbox password is the same as your Domainless password, unless you have set a separate one in Mailbox settings. If your app says the password is wrong, set a new mailbox password there and use that.

Step by step

iPhone or iPad (Mail)
  1. Open Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account. (On older iOS: Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other.)
  2. Enter your name, your full address, your mailbox password and a description, then tap Next.
  3. Choose IMAP.
  4. Under Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server, set the host name to email.domainless.fun, and the user name to your full address with your mailbox password.
  5. Tap Next, then Save. If sending fails, open the account’s Outgoing Mail Server settings and check that Use SSL is on and the port is 465.
Thunderbird (Windows, Mac or Linux)
  1. Open Account Settings → Account Actions → Add Mail Account.
  2. Enter your name, full address and mailbox password, then choose Configure manually.
  3. Incoming: IMAP, host email.domainless.fun, port 993, SSL/TLS, Normal password.
  4. Outgoing: SMTP, host email.domainless.fun, port 465, SSL/TLS, Normal password.
  5. Set both user names to your full address, then Done.
Android (Thunderbird for Android or FairEmail)
  1. Install Thunderbird for Android (formerly K-9 Mail) or FairEmail.
  2. Add an account with your full address and mailbox password. If the app offers to find the settings, choose to set them manually.
  3. Incoming: IMAP, email.domainless.fun, port 993, SSL/TLS. Outgoing: SMTP, email.domainless.fun, port 465, SSL/TLS.
  4. Use your full address as the user name for both.
Apple Mail (Mac)
  1. Open Mail → Add Account → Other Mail Account.
  2. Enter your name, full address and mailbox password, then Sign In.
  3. When asked for server details, choose IMAP and enter email.domainless.fun for both the incoming and outgoing server, with your full address as the user name.
Any other app

Use the settings table above. Choose IMAP rather than POP, SSL/TLS rather than STARTTLS, and port 465 for sending — some apps suggest 587 first, which is not used here.

Good to know

Does 2-step sign-in apply to mail apps?

No. 2-step sign-in protects signing in on the website. Mail apps sign in with your mailbox password alone, so make it long and unique — you can set a separate one in Mailbox settings that you use only for your mail apps.

Will my mail stay in sync with the webmail?

Yes. IMAP keeps everything on the server, so reading, deleting or moving a message in your app shows up in the webmail too, and the other way round.

My app shows a certificate warning

Check that the server name is exactly email.domainless.fun — a different name will not match our certificate. If the warning remains with the right name, please report it; do not accept an unknown certificate.
