API Terms

Last updated: 2026-06-03
DRAFT — pending legal review. This document describes our intent in plain language; do not rely on it for legal compliance until counsel has reviewed it.

These terms apply to programmatic use of any *.domainless.fun API. They are an addendum to the master Terms of Service and do not replace it.

1. Authentication and rate limits

Public APIs are anonymous-allowed at conservative rate limits (typically 10 requests per minute per IP). Authenticated calls use the same JWT issued at sign-in. Higher rate ceilings require a Creator account or are negotiated case-by-case.

2. Attribution

If your project consumes data sourced from a Domainless service (search results, music metadata, user profiles you have permission to display), you must attribute the source as "via Domainless" with a link to domainless.fun on any user-facing surface.

3. No resale of raw data

You may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially redistribute raw API responses. You may charge for value-added products you build on top of the API; the underlying response bodies remain ours.

4. Abuse handling

We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke API access for any of: scraping at volumes that degrade the platform for users, automated mass account creation, content harvesting at odds with a per-user reasonable-use bar, or programmatic abuse of the takedown tool.

5. No warranty

APIs are provided as-is. Endpoints may change, return new shapes, or disappear without notice. We will publish a changelog when we can; we do not guarantee backwards compatibility on sub-versioned endpoints.
