Creators Terms

Last updated: 2026-06-03
DRAFT — pending legal review. This document describes our intent in plain language; do not rely on it for legal compliance until counsel has reviewed it.

These rules apply to every account that has activated the Creator Program (uploading monetizable content, accruing a USD balance, or accepting tips that route to a real-money payout). Master ToS Section 6 and 7 govern; this addendum is the long-form version.

1. Identity verification

Cashout requires completing Stripe Connect KYC: legal name, date of birth, country of residence, tax identifier where applicable, and a bank account in your name. We never see full bank or ID details; Stripe stores them, we receive only the resulting stripe_account_id.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18+ at the time of activation and must reside in a country supported by Stripe Connect Express. Some countries and states are excluded — Stripe's onboarding flow will tell you if you are.

3. Royalty rates and caps

4. Sponsorship and disclosure

Sponsorships are limited to one per piece of content, with a maximum sponsor segment of 10 seconds. Sponsored content must be clearly disclosed at the start of the piece (FTC-style), per Master ToS § 7.

5. Cashout mechanics

6. Tax responsibility

You are responsible for reporting cashout income to your local tax authority. Stripe issues 1099-K forms in the U.S. for creators who exceed the federal threshold; we do not provide tax advice.

7. Repeat-infringer revocation

Three sustained DMCA strikes within twelve months results in Creator-status revocation, USD-balance freeze pending review, and possible account termination. Counter-notices reset the affected strike if upheld.
